How do beach weddings work

Beach ceremonies are usually held early in the morning or at sunset. A makeup artist and photographer come to the bride’s hotel. An arch decorated with flowers is placed on the shore, a local priest is invited to perform a symbolic marriage ceremony.

The newlyweds sail to the coast on a boat decorated with flowers, or take a solemn walk from the hotel to the beach. They are accompanied by dancers in national costumes and live music. And after the ceremony – congratulations, photos, buffet or full dinner at the tables, swimming in the warm sea, walks and a fiery disco.

What is beach formal attire for weddings

As a rule, the clothing should be beach formal or casual. Which means you should choose a dress, according to the dress code for the event

Beach Formal.

A formal dress for a beach wedding indicates that it is an outdoor wedding. However, must keep some things in mind, such as weather and time. It will be sunny on the beach, so wear a sundress made of a light natural fabric such as cotton and chiffon, this would be a great choice.

You can also wear a kaftan dress to your heels or a knee-length dress. Strapless, light-colored clothes will look just as elegant. Don’t wear heavy fabrics such as wool, cotton, choose softer fabrics. If you plan to wear something lightweight, make sure it’s not too short, as it can be windy at the beach and you don’t want to hold on to your clothes the whole time.

Casual beachwear

A dress for a beach wedding can be relaxed chic (but not shorts and a t-shirt). A printed or casual sundress, light as air, will look great.

You can even wear a tight-fitting dress and a light blouse.  For flowers, pastel colors and neutral shades will look great. A delicate flower or jewelry for a natural beach dress, will also look beautiful.

As for shoes, you can choose to go barefoot or wear sandals.

Formal attire

Of course, it’s unlikely that a beach wedding should take place in formal attire! But if the invitation says black tie or formal attire, most often it’s a glamorous wedding night not directly at the beach.

You can choose to wear an evening gown and a cocktail dress for your glamour. Wearing an evening dress in dark colors such as navy blue, burgundy, purple and emerald green will make you look elegant and sophisticated. For a more glamorous look, choose a floor-length dress with a bit of sequins for a dazzling effect. Choose a long dress like a goddess, such as a Greek dress, if you’re not too comfortable in a tight-fitting style. Add colorful accessories like beads or jewelry to keep things fun but also look cool.

Semi-formal

When the invitation asks for semi-formal attire, you can opt for cocktail dresses that are almost formal. Add a little jewelry to the tone, it will look fun, and won’t look too formal. For daytime weddings, choose something that is not too heavy. Fabrics such as chiffon and georgette in pastel colors will work well.

For an evening wedding, choose a dress in bold colors with a slightly shorter length. Prints should be avoided, as semi-formal attire asks for chic, not sweet. However, do not wear too tight or too short, as it will make you feel uncomfortable.

What do men wear to beach weddings

For a beach wedding, men can wear a variety of outfits depending on the dress code specified by the couple. However, if the dress code is beach formal, here are some options:

A lightweight, breathable suit in a light color, such as beige or light gray. You can choose a linen or cotton suit to keep cool in the warm weather. If the wedding is taking place in the evening or during cooler weather, a darker suit might be more appropriate.

A dress shirt in a lighter fabric, such as cotton or linen. You can opt for a white or light-colored shirt to keep it simple and classic.

Dress shoes, loafers, or even sandals can be appropriate footwear choices for a beach wedding. If you choose sandals, make sure they’re dressy and not too casual. You don’t want to wear flip-flops or beach sandals.

You can wear a tie or a bow tie, but it’s not necessary. If you do choose to wear a tie, choose a lighter fabric such as cotton or silk.

Sunglasses and a hat can also be practical accessories for a beach wedding, but make sure they complement your outfit and don’t look too casual.
